About this program

• SDS2 Site Planning performs rapid Lift Information calculations that can be used for managing and coordinating the interaction of cranes and crane placements with a highly detailed 3D manufacturing model.
• The program also gives you the ability to Detail Erection Views that were created inside of Site Planning. It cannot detail erection views that were created using other SDS2 programs such as SDS2 Detailing .
• Site Planning can also be used as an SDS2 review station:
  • Users of the Site Planning program can set the status of members (approved, fabricated, in shop, etc.) using Member Status Review , Drawing Data or Update Attributes .
  • Status can be tracked using Status Display ( ). Object tools can be used to add graphics to a comment layer in any Drawing Editor drawing.
  • As further aids to a comprehensive review of a Job, Site Planning users can also plot drawings and print reports .

Tip 2:  Words and phrases directly transcribed from the SDS2 program itself are indicated using italics. Double quotes identify the names of options, among other things. Items in single quotes always indicate settings.
