" Gusset Beam Column " & " Brace Connection To Gusset Wide Flange Claw " & " Weld Conn2 "

A claw angle gusset connection for a web-horizontal wide flange vertical brace to a beam & column is designed per " Brace Connection To Gusset Wide Flange Claw " locks when ' Web claw angles ' is the " Connection arrangement ." The gusset plate (" Gusset Beam Column ") shop attaches to the beam per " Weld Conn2 " or, when applicable, " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks.

The gusset plate shop welds or shop bolts to the beam based on the choice made to " Gusset to supporting member " under " Connection specifications " on the Vertical Brace Review window or in user defined connections setup. That choice also sets whether you get " Weld Conn2 " locks (pictured at left) or " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks.


The brace-to-gusset connection includes four claw angles that shop bolt to the web-horizontal wide flange brace and field bolt to the gusset plate.
