" Gusset 2 Point Square " & " Brace Connection To Gusset " & " Weld Conn2 " connection design locks

An angle, W tee or channel vertical brace field bolts directly to a 2- or 3-point shared gusset plate per choices made to " Brace Connection To Gusset ." The corners of the gusset plate (" Gusset 2 Point Square ") are square due to " Clip end operation " being set to ' No ' or possibly ' Automatic '. The shared gusset shop attaches to the beam per choices made to " Weld Conn2 " or, when applicable, " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks.

2-point and 3-point bracing . The connection design locks for 2-point bracing (2 braces to a shared gusset) and 3-point bracing are essentially the same. However, SDS2 connection design will not connect a 3-point gusset plate to the supporting beam with a clip angle. A 3-point gusset plate must be welded to the supporting beam.
