" Gusset To Two Beams Square " & " Brace Connection To Gusset " connection design locks

The gusset plate for a W tee or wide flange or double-angle horizontal brace to a beam-beam corner shop attaches to the brace per " Brace Connection To Gusset " locks and is designed per " Gusset To Two Beams Square " locks. Depending on the framing situation, the gusset may field bolt directly to each beam's flange, or it may field bolt with clip angles to each beam's web.

The horizontal brace shop bolts to the gusset plate, and the gusset plate field bolts to each of the two beams. If the brace frames to beams' webs, " NS/FS Clip Conn1 & 2 " locks control the field bolting. " HB Conn1 & 2 " locks control field bolting for a brace to two beams' top flanges.
