An L (shown) or stem-vertical WT or C vertical brace field bolts directly to a gusset plate that shop attaches to a column & base plate (shown) or a column & cap plate (not shown) per " Gusset Column Cap Square " and " Brace Connection To Gusset " locks. The corner of the gusset plate is square due to " Clip end operation " being set to ' No ' or, possibly, to ' Automatic '. " Cap Plate " locks are available when the column has an auto base/cap plate. The gusset plate can weld to a column web (shown) or flange (not shown) per " Weld Conn1 " locks. It welds to the column plate per " Weld Conn2 " locks.
