" Gusset Intersection " & " Brace Connection To Gusset Hss Bolted " connection design locks

An intersection plate for HSS, pipe or tube vertical braces to a supporting vertical brace is designed per " Gusset Intersection " and " Brace Connection To Gusset Hss Bolted " locks when ' Bolted ' is the " Pipe/tube end-fitting ." Each of the two supported braces is shop welded to a welded tee that field bolts to the intersection plate.

• " Bolt rows " run perpendicular to the two supported vertical braces.
• " Bolt columns " run parallel with the two supported vertical braces.
• End connection failure message : Braces must be colinear .
• End connection failure message : Both braces must be either on/off the neutral axis .
• End connection failure message : Both braces must have the same material type .
