" Gusset One Member " & " Weld Conn2 " connection design locks

A stem-vertical W tee vertical brace field bolts with NS and FS web plates to a gusset plate (" Gusset One Member ") that shop attaches to a column. The W tee brace may be stem ' Down ' (shown) or stem ' Up ' (not shown). The brace's work line runs through the bolt column nearest the tee flange. The gusset plate can shop weld to the column (" Weld Conn2 ") or shop bolt with a clip angle (" NS/FS Clip Conn2 ").

" Weld Conn2 " (" Gusset to supporting member " = ' Welded ')	. The gusset plate shop welds to the column as specified by the " Weld Conn2 " locks. Alternatively, the gusset plate can shop bolt to the column as specified by the " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks. Whether you get " Weld Conn2 " locks (pictured at left) or " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks depends on the choice made to " Gusset to supporting member " under " Connection specifications " on the Vertical Brace Review window.
