NS and FS web plates shop bolt to a stem-vertical W tee vertical brace and field bolt to a gusset plate per " Brace Connection To Gusset Wtee " locks. The gusset shop welds (or shop bolts with a clip angle) to a column. The W tee brace may be stem ' Down ' (shown) or stem ' Up ' (not shown).
