NS and FS web plates field bolt a stem-vertical W tee vertical brace to a shared gusset plate per " Brace Connection To Gusset Wtee " locks. The gusset plate shop attaches to a beam. The web plates shop bolt to the W tee brace, which may be stem ' Down ' (shown) or stem ' Up ' (not shown).

If the thicknesses of the W tee web and the gusset plate are the same, then no fill plates are needed, and the connection design locks for those fill plates will, by default, be populated with null values (distance entries of ' 0 ').
