" Gusset Beam Column " & " Weld Conn2 " connection design locks

A gusset plate shop attached to a beam & column is designed per " Gusset Beam Column " locks. A wide flange vertical brace connects to the gusset with flange paddle plates when ' Paddle plates ' is the " Connection arrangement ." The gusset plate shop welds to the beam per " Weld Conn2 " locks or can, if the beam-column connection is a clip angle, shop attach with a clip angle (" NS/FS Clip Conn2 "). The gusset field bolts to the column with an end plate (shown) or clip angle or shear plate .

" Weld Conn2 " (" Gusset to supporting " = ' Welded ')	The gusset plate shop welds or shop bolts to the beam based on the choice made to " Gusset to supporting member " under " Connection specifications " on the Vertical Brace Review window. That choice also sets whether you get " Weld Conn2 " locks or " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks. The brace-to-gusset connection includes paddle plates that shop weld to the gusset plate and field bolt to the flanges of the web-vertical wide flange vertical brace. The paddle plates are controlled by the " Brace Connection To Gusset Wide Flange Paddle " locks.
