Flat Bar Material (topic)

Flat bar is a strip of steel with a cross section that is rectangular in shape. Use of flat bar stock minimizes the number of cutting or shearing operations in the shop. |
Flat bar is conventionally designated by "Flat bar" prefix + thickness x width (example: FL1x1-0 ).
Flat bar is not found in any shape file, but is generated per settings on the Flat Bar Material window.

The default material mark prefix for flat bar is fb .
Steel grades :
Steel grades that are available for flat bar material are set up using the Job Options list of " Plate Grades & Bar Stock ."
