Delete Role Configurations ( Utility Functions ) (for ' Lightning ' only)

• The Delete Role Configurations utility can be used to delete role configurations , which are files that may be used when User and Site Options > General > " Lightning role configuration " or " Drawing Editor layout style " is set to ' Lightning '.
• Be careful. This utility will allow you to delete the User and Site Options > General > " Lightning role configuration " that is automatically loaded when, for example, Modeling is launched. If a user is in Modeling , no warning will be given by the program, but the user can continue to use that configuration until Modeling is closed. When the next Modeling session is launched, a dialog will warn that no roles are available. Before you can restart Modeling , you will need to select another User and Site Options > General > " Lightning role configuration ."

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Start the Delete Role Configurations utility:

1a : Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Delete Role Configurations . If prompted to do so, enter the " Utility Password " that has been set up for your network.

2 . A selection dialog listing the names of all the roles configuration files appears on screen.

Default  Role 1  Role 2  Role 3  Role 4  Role 5

Typing 2 to " Find " in this example would automatically select Role 2 since that role is the first one with the character sequence 2 in its name.

Alternative 1 : Select one or more roles that you want to delete, then press the " OK " button. Go to step 3.

Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end the Delete Role Configurations operation and go back to Utility Functions . Do not continue.

3 . An ok-cancel dialog opens. It lists the roles that will be deleted when you press " OK ."

These roles have been marked for deletion.   selected_role_xxx selected_role_yyy selected_role_zzz

Alternative 1 : Press the " OK " button to delete the roles that you selected. Go to step 4.

Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end the Delete Role Configurations operation without deleting any of the roles. Do not continue.

4 . A dialog opens to report the number of roles that were deleted. Press " OK " to close this dialog.
