" Gusset To Two Beams " connection design locks

A gusset for an angle, double-angle, W tee or wide flange horizontal brace to a beam-column-beam corner is designed per " Gusset To Two Beams " locks. The brace shop bolts to the gusset plate. The gusset can, depending on the framing situation, field bolt directly to either beam's flange, or it can field bolt with clip angles to either beam's web.

The horizontal brace shop bolts to the gusset plate, and the gusset plate field bolts to each of the two beams. The " ... Conn1 " and " ... Conn2 " locks control the field bolting of the gusset plate.
