Step-by-step instructions :
1 . Invoke Layer Erase All using any one (1) of the following methods:
Method 1 : Click the Layer Erase All icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Layers ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Layers > Erase All .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Layer Erase All can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
2 . An ok-cancel confirmation dialog opens. On it is the message, " Erasing all layers will erase all objects on all shown comment layers. Are you sure you want to erase so much ?"
Alternative 1 : Press the " OK " button to erase all comment layers and all objects on those layers.
Alternative 2 : Press the " Cancel " button to end the Layer Erase All operation and keep everything as it was before step 1.
3 . The program erases all comment layers that are marked " Show " (that are visible) which means that all visible graphic objects on comment layers are deleted. One of the following happens:
Possibility 1 : If all layers in your current drawing were comment layers and you erased all those layers, the program automatically creates a new comment layer and selects it on the layer selection tool .
Possibility 2 : If you erased the layer that was the selected layer , but other layers are hidden or non-comment layers, then one of those other layers becomes the selected layer.
Possibility 3 : If you did not erase the selected layer (because that layer is hidden or is not a comment layer), that layer remains the selected layer.
Note: At this point you can still undo your changes by using Revert or Undo . If you Save to make your changes permanent, you will no longer be able to Revert , but you can still Undo .
