Square Bar Material (topic)

Square bar is solid steel with a cross section that is square. Square bar is not found in any shape file, but is generated according the Square Bar Material window.

Designation :

• Square bar material is designated by its "Square bar" prefix + side (example: SB12 for 12-inch square bar).
• This same convention is used as the " Description " for a square bar in the Drawing Editor bill editor.

Submaterial piece marking :

• The default material mark prefix for square bar is sb .

Steel grades :

• Steel grades that are available for round bar material are set up using the Job Options list of " Plate Grades & Bar Stock ."
