To open this window :
1 . On the " Design Settings " window, select ' EUROCODE 3 ' as the " Connection design method ."
2 . Press the " Gamma Factors " button.
3 . The Gamma Factors window opens.

Resistance of cross-sections ( EN 1993-1-1:2005, section 6 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor for cross sections is 1.0 .
Resistance of members to instability assessed by member checks ( EN 1993-1-1:2005, section 6 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor is 1.0 .
Resistance of cross-sections in tension to fracture and resistance of bolts, rivets, pins, welds , and plates in bearing ( EN 1993-1-8: 2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor is 1.25 .

Slip resistance at ultimate limit state (Category C) ( EN 1993-1-8:2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default slip resistance factor at the ultimate limit state is 1.25 .
Slip resistance at serviceability limit state (Category B) ( EN 1993-1-8:2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default slip resistance factor for serviceability is 1.1 .
Bearing resistance of an injection bolt ( EN 1993-1-8:2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor for injection bolts is 1.0 .
Resistance of joints in hollow section lattice girder ( EN 1993-1-8:2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor is 1.0 .
Resistance of pins at serviceability limit state ( EN 1993-1-8:2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor is 1.0 .
Preload of high strength bolts ( EN 1993-1-8:2005, section 2.2 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default resistance factor is 1.1 .
Clevis strength: The default strength is 3 .
Clevis pin strength: The default strength is 3 .
Turnbuckle strength: The default strength is 3 .
Tying resistance ( Simple Joints to Eurocode 3, Chapter 1 ): Per Eurocode 3, the default strength is 1.1 .

"OK" (or the Enter key) closes the Gamma Factors window and saves the settings on it to the Job Settings file in your current Job .
Note: If you have made changes to this window after having added members to the 3D model, you should interactively mark for processing (or Process Selected ) all members in your current Job, then Process and Create Solids in order to ensure design consistency throughout the Job.
"Cancel" (or the Esc key) closes this window without saving any changes made to it.
"Reset" undoes all changes made to this window since you first opened it. The window remains open.
