Steel Projects

Generates a report along with CNC download files for import into SteelProjects. The .XSR report generates its data from the member bill of material.

Generate DSTV files: or . When this box is checked, DSTV CNC files are generated along with the report.

Generate XSR file: or . When this box is checked, an XSR report file is generated for the export.

Generate EM11 (IFC2x3) file: or . When this box is checked, an EM11 (.ifc) file is generated along with the report.

IFC file name: The name of the EM11 .IFC file being exported. The default name is based on your project name and can only be edited when Generate EM11 is active.

Use Submaterial mark for main material: or . When this box is checked, the report uses the submaterial mark for the main materials. If this box is unchecked, the report will use the member mark for the main material piecemarks.

OK: (or the Enter key) closes this screen and applies the settings.

Cancel: (or the Esc key) closes this screen without saving any changes.

1. Click the Steel Projects icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be found on the Import/Export page > MRP section.

Method 2: Click Steel Projects on the home screen. The command can be found on the Export tab in the MRP section.

Alternative: Use the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the Steel Projects icon, which is pictured above.

2. The Steel Projects CNC Options window opens (as shown on the General Overview tab). Select the options you want included in the export. Select OK.

3. Select the piecemark of the members you want included in the export. When OK is selected, the report is exported to the destination set inside of the window.

Compare this file with the Steel_projects_parts_list.XSR report shown above, which was generated at the same time. Download files named a13.nc1 and a14.nc1 were not generated. The Include attached submaterial in member download option was turned off. output/ is the directory (file folder) into which the a13.nc1 and a14.nc1 files would have been placed if they had been generated.
