Multi Sheet Revision Chart

Make changes to Revision Chart data on multiple drawing sheets at the same time.

Multi Sheet Revision Chart

This screen displays a selection list of the drawing sheets in your current job. Select the sheet(s) with the Revision Chart data you want to change, then click the Edit button to proceed to the Revision Chart Editor screen to make the change(s).

Selection List: A list of your current job's Detail Sheets, Gather Sheets, and Erection Sheets that can be selected for Revision Chart editing.

The lock icon indicates that the sheet is currently open in a Drawing Editor session. Locked sheets can be selected for editing, but their Revision Chart will not be changed. The output summary will indicate locked sheets that were included in your selection for editing.

Tip: Use the Show/Hide check box options to show the particular type of drawing sheet(s) you want to work with.

Edit: After you select your sheets, click this button to open the Revision Chart Editor.

Find: The Find widget searches the selection list for sheet names and selects the closest match. Match case performs a case-sensitive search. Next Match cycles to the sheet name that closely matches what you typed in.

Save: Saves a selection file of your current selection of sheets.

Load: Opens a selection file to select sheets on this screen.

Tip: Since Load does not clear your current selection of sheets, you may want to use Clear before using Load.

Clear: Deselects all sheets in the selection list.

Select All: Selects all sheets in the selection list.

Show/Hide: Detail Sheets, Gather Sheets, and Erection Sheets: When you check the box, the sheet type is shown in the selection list. When you uncheck the box, that sheet type is hidden from the list.

OK: Click the OK button to close this screen and return to the Utilities > Change Options list.

Revision Chart Editor

The data displayed on this screen is gathered from the sheets you selected on the Multi Sheet Revision Chart screen. Revision lines with identical data on multiple sheets are consolidated into a single line on this chart. Only the sheets you select are updated with the changes you make on the Revision Chart Editor screen.

Search: Searches the data in all columns (except DATE) for what you type in, shows the lines of revisions that match, and hides the lines that do not. The search is not case sensitive.

Filters: Searches the data in the corresponding column(s) for what you type in, shows the lines of revisions that match, and hides the lines that do not. The filter is not case sensitive. You can use filters for multiple columns at the same time. The DATE column can also be filtered using the calendar widget.

Revision Chart Components and Function:

Column Headers: The headers you see on this screen are set at Project Settings > Fabricator > Sheets and Reports > Sheet Revisions > Revision chart columns > Header Line.

Fields: Each field on the chart can be selected and edited. There two methods for editing a field:

  • Select a field and begin typing. Use this option if the field is empty or if you want to replace its existing data.

  • Double-left-click a field if you want to keep and work with its existing data.

Lines: The lines on the chart can be deleted selectively or all at once.

  • To delete lines selectively, select a field on one or more lines, right-click, and choose Delete Line(s).

  • To delete all lines, right-click anywhere on the chart and choose Delete All Line(s).

OK (or the Enter key) closes this screen and applies the changes to the Revision Charts on selected sheets. A window appears with an output summary of the changes, deleted revisions, and unmodified sheets that were locked at the time you clicked OK.

Cancel (or the Esc key) closes this screen without applying any changes.

Reset undoes all changes made to this screen since you first opened it.

  • Sheets that are set to Detail complete will still have their Revision Charts updated.
  • Sheets that are changed using the Multi Sheet Revision Chart are flagged for plotting.
  • Windows selection keys can be used on each screen such as holding the Ctrl key to select multiple items or Ctrl + A to select all.
