Needs-to-be-detailed warning :
Since Review 2D Item gets its information from the 3D model in Modeling , the member detail , submaterial detail , or erection view detail that is your current drawing must be up to date. If it is not, you may get a warning message similar to the following:

For erection views and bolts only: If your current drawing is an erection view that is out of date and you Review 2D Items (or double-click ) a bolt, the information provided about the bolt may not match the actual bolt that in the model. For member details, a needs-to-be-detailed message like that shown above will prevent this from happening. Also, since there are no bolts on submaterial details, this does not happen for submaterial details.

Step-by-step instructions :
You must be in the Drawing Editor and do either step 1b (preselection) or step 3 (in-tool selection) to perform this operation. The following instructions assume that you are using a 3-button mouse.
1 . Before using this tool:
1a (optional) : If you want to select material polygons in step 1b, the selection filter must be set to ' Polygons '. This, however, is not required if you do step 3.

Select Items bindings (step 1b) 1b (optional) : In Select Items mode, left-click ( Select ) the material ( polygon ) or 3D bolt or 3D hole that you want to review.
2 . Invoke Review 2D Item using any one (1) of the following methods:
Method 1 : Click the Review 2D Item icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Tools ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Tools > Review 2D Item .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Review 2D Item can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
3 . Skip this step if you did step 1b.

3a (if you didn't preselect) : The program prompts you to use Select One Item options to select the one material or auto-detailed bolt or auto-detailed hole that you want. The status line prompts, " Select a system-generated material, bolt or hole ."
4 . If you current drawing is a member detail that needs to be redetailed, then a needs-to-be-detailed warning notifies you of such, and the program is not able to open the review window. Otherwise, the program opens a non-editable version of the window for the material or bolt or hole that you selected.
4a (optional for material polygons) : Press the " General Information " button to open the General Information window, which you can use to review additional information on the material. Press " OK " on the General Information window to close that window.
4b : Review the specifications that you are interested in, then press the " OK " button at the bottom of the window to close the window.
5 . The operation is now done.
