To open Member, Material, Bolt and Weld Colors :
Method 1 : Home > Project Settings > Job > Modeling > Member, Material, Bolt and Weld Colors .
Method 2 : In Modeling or the Drawing Editor , choose Settings > Job Settings > Member, Material, Bolt and Weld Colors (classic), or use a keyboard shortcut , or click the icon pictured above.

Beams: The choice made here sets the default " Color " applied to the beam's main material. | This table sets the default display colors for member main materials, bolts, welds and submaterials when members in Modeling are displayed in any of the three solid forms . |
Columns: Default main material " Color ." | |
Vertical braces: Default main material " Color ." | |
Horizontal braces: Default main material " Color ." | |
Other members (girts, purlins, miscellaneous): | |
Materials: Submaterials, stair stringers. | |
Field bolts: 3D bolts whose " Class " is ' Field '. By default, these bolt different members. | |
Shop bolts: 3D bolts whose " Class " is ' Shop '. By default, these bolt the same member. | |
Field welds: 3D welds to different members are, by default, set to " ![]() |

What is meant by "default" color? The default color is the color applied when members are added in a full-featured SDS2 program such as SDS2 Detailing. The colors of individual materials can be changed by users of the full-featured SDS2 program by selecting a different " Color " on that material's edit window. For bolts, the color can be changed by switching the bolt " Class " from ' Field ' to ' Shop ' or vise-versa. |
