Delete Keyboard Shortcuts ( Utility Functions ) (' Lightning ' only)

• The Delete Keyboard Shortcuts utility can be used to delete keyboard shortcut configuration files. Such a file can be assigned to a role when ' Lightning ' is selected for User and Site Options > General > " Lightning role configuration " or " Drawing Editor layout style ."
• A keyboard shortcut configuration can be assigned to a role in Customize Interface . In the example below, a file named my_favorite_keys is assigned to the currently selected available role .

• Be careful. This utility will allow you to delete a keyboard shortcut configuration that is currently in use or that is used in multiple roles in one or multiple role configurations . If the keyboard shortcut configuration is in current use, no warning will be given by the program, although you can continue to use that configuration until you exit the program (e.g., Modeling ).
• The Delete Keyboard Shortcuts utility has no effect on ' Classic ' keyboard shortcuts, which reside in the toolbar configuration file .

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Start the Delete Keyboard Shortcuts utility:

1a : Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Delete > Delete Keyboard Shortcuts . If prompted to do so, enter the " Utility Password " that has been set up for your network.

2 . A selection dialog appears on the screen. This list includes the environments Drawing Editor and Modeling . Each environment contains its own keyboard shortcut files.

Alternative 1 : Select the name corresponding to the name of the environment whose keyboard shortcuts you want to delete, then press the " OK " button. Go to step 4.

Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end the Delete Keyboard Shortcuts operation and go back to Utility Functions . Do not continue.

3 . A selection dialog appears on screen. On is a list of the names of all the keyboard shortcut configuration files for the environment you selected in step 2.

Typing dr to " Find " in this example would automatically select Modeling_Drafter since that keyboard shortcuts is the first one with the character sequence dr in its name.

Alternative 1 : Select one or more keyboard shortcut configurations that you want to delete, then press the " OK " button. Go to step 4.

Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end the Delete Keyboard Shortcuts operation and go back to Utility Functions . Do not continue.

4 . An ok-cancel dialog opens. It lists the keyboard shortcuts that will be deleted when you press " OK ."

These keyboard shortcuts have been marked for deletion.   selected_keyboard shortcuts_xxx selected_keyboard shortcuts_yyy selected_keyboard shortcuts_zzz

Alternative 1 : Press the " OK " button to delete the keyboard shortcuts that you selected. Go to step 5.

Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end the Delete Keyboard Shortcuts operation without deleting any of the keyboard shortcuts. Do not continue.

5 . A dialog opens to report the number of keyboard shortcut configurations that were deleted. Press " OK " to close this dialog.
