Note in the following example that the bill data associated with the selected member detail is highlighted within the bill of material. In this example, the bill order of the selected detail is 1. The bill is given a new order of 2 in step 3.

Step-by-step instructions (also see the example ) :
The following instructions assume that you are using a 3-button mouse.
1 . With a detail sheet with a bill of material as your current drawing, invoke Sheet Bill Reorder using any one (1) of the following methods:
Method 1 : Click the Sheet Bill Reorder icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Sheet Items ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Sheet Items > Sheet Bill Reorder .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Sheet Bill Reorder can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
2 . Select - Pan - Menu mouse bindings become active, and the status line prompts, " Select the piecemark you wish to reorder ."

2a : Place the mouse pointer ( ) near the piecemark of the drawing whose order you want to change, then left-click ( Select ).
3 . The piecemark and border of the selected member detail turn green. The bill data associated with that detail is highlighted in the bill of material. Also, the order of each detail on the sheet is shown in parentheses next to its piecemark. Edit - Options - Return mouse bindings become active.

3a ( optional ): If your mouse has a mouse wheel , you can use it to cycle through the details. Or you can middle-click ( Options ) then press the "<==" or "==>" button to select a different detail.
3b : Left-click ( Edit ) when the member detail you want is selected. (Or, if you middle-clicked in step 3a, press the " Edit " button.)
4 . The Change BOM Order window opens.
New BOM order (#-#): A whole number within the range specified in parentheses signifying the order that bill data associated with the selected detail is placed within the bill of material. The current order number is shown by default. Changing the number moves the associated data within the bill.
Example: You select the detail placed 4 on a sheet with four details and give it a " New BOM order " of 2. After you press " OK ," data for detail 4 is listed 2nd in the bill of material, 2 becomes 3, and 3 becomes 4.
Alternative 1 : Press the " OK " button to continue.
Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to go back to step 3.
5 . Your computer screen redraws to show the bill data highlighted in its new order within the bill of material. Also, the new order of each detail on the sheet is shown in parentheses next to its piecemark.

Alternative 1 : Follow these same instructions beginning with step 3 to change the bill placement order of other member details.
Alternative 2 : Right-click ( Return ) if you are done changing the bill placement order of member details. (Or, if you did step 3a, press the " Return " button.)
Note: At this point you can still undo your changes by using Undo .
