The ABM Edit window

Example :

To open this window: On the ABM Report window, press the " Review/Modify ABM " button.

Before opening this window :

  • An ABM must have been created before you can open this window.
  • The choice made to " ABM Name " on the ABM Report window sets the ABM (latest version) whose contents you can review on this window.
  • Choices made to ABM Report Layout set the columns that are shown on this window.
  • In a full-featured SDS2 program, columns that can be enabled in ABM Report Layout to permit the editing of entries shown in the ABM Edit window are as follows: " ABM ID " " Remarks " " Camber " " End Prep " " Unit Weight " " Length " " ABM Note "

How this window can be used in a full-featured SDS2 program :

  • In a full-featured SDS2 program , values entered to cells with a white background can be edited.
  • Cells that contain user-entered values are color coded per the color entry made to User and Site Options > Drawings > " Bill of material preserved color ." In the example at the top of this page, such cells are color-coded with a blue background .
  • In a full-featured SDS2 program, users can revert user-entered values that are color-coded with a blue background back to system values. If this is done, the blue background is made white.
  • It can happen that a blue background value that is shown on this window does not match the value shown on the latest version of an Advanced Bill of Material Report . Such is the case when editing has been done in a full-featured SDS2 program but the ABM has not yet been updated. After the ABM is is updated, all blue background values will exactly match equivalent entries in the latest version of the Advanced Bill of Material Report . Equivalent entries are on the same pages and lines.
  • Cells with a blue background remain color coded after an ABM update or even through multiple ABM updates until such a time that the user of a full-featured program chooses to revert the user-entered value in such a cell back to the system value.
  • Updating an ABM in a full-featured SDS2 program does not combine materials to or drop materials from a page-line that contains a user-modified value.
  • The contents of this window is associated with the " ABM Name ." If you change to a different " ABM Name, " different cells with different information will be shown on this window.

Buttons :

  • The " OK " button closes this window.
