" Gusset Beam Column " & " Weld Conn2 " connection design locks

The gusset plate for a wide flange vertical brace to a beam & column is designed per " Gusset Beam Column " locks and can shop weld to the beam per " Weld Conn2 " locks, or it can shop bolt to the beam with a clip angle per " NS/FS Clip Conn2 " locks if the gusset field bolts to the column with a clip angle. The following illustration shows ' Standard ' as the " Connection arrangement ." The gusset field bolts to the column with a clip angle (shown) or shear plate or end plate .

If the beam field bolts to the column with an end plate, the gusset plate also field bolts to the column with an end plate .
