" Brace Connection To Gusset " connection design locks

A stem-vertical W tee vertical brace field bolts to a shared gusset plate per choices made to " Brace Connection To Gusset " locks. Since the brace's " Connection type " is ' Coped flange ', the W tee's flange is cut flush to the side of the web (NS or FS) that field bolts to the gusset. The shared gusset shop attaches to a beam.

VIDEO In a full-featured SDS2 program, a stem-vertical W tee vertical brace has its " Connection type " set to ' Coped flange ' and its " Side of gusset " set to ' Near side ' then to ' Far side '. (Recorded in SDS2 Detailing , v2016.)
