Printing your current drawing under Windows :
Optionally set User and Site Options > Output > " Default for "Print ."
In the Drawing Editor , Open the drawing (of any type) that you want to print.
Method 1 : Click the Print icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' File ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose File > Print .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Print can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
3 . The windows Print dialog opens.
1 (optional) : You can " Select Printer " to select a different printer to output to. You can change the " Number of copies ." You can click the " Preferences " button to, for example, change from ' Landscape ' to ' Portrait ' or vise-versa. You can " Print to file " if you want to output the drawing as a file.
2 . Press the " Print " button.
4 . Your current drawing is output as you designated in step 3.
If you selected " Print to file " in step 3, a dialog opens so that you can optionally select a different file folder (
) to output the drawing file to. By default file folder is User and Site User and Site Options > Output > " Plot to file directory ."
Your current drawing is printed as it appears on screen. The printed version of the drawing may therefore be different than the last-saved or next-saved version.

Printing your current drawing under Linux :
In the Drawing Editor , Open the drawing (of any type) that you want to print.
Optionally choose Interface > Plotting to " Change Printer " then click " Print Configuration " to set Print to ' Use Printer ' (if you want to print to a laser printer or plotter) or to ' Use User Options - Output - Printer ' (if you want to print to a file).

3 . Your current drawing is output as follows:
Possibility 1 : If ' Use Printer ' is selected on the Print Configuration window, your current drawing is printed to the " Current printer ."
Possibility 2 : If ' Use User Options - Output Printer ' is selected on the Print Configuration window, your current drawing is output as a file to the folder that is set for " Printer " in User Options . This drawing file is named after the original drawing and given a ".plt" extension.
Note: Print outputs the on-screen version of your current drawing. The printed version of the drawing may therefore be different than the last-saved or next-saved version.
