A user coordinate system (UCS) can be used with ORTHO to do complicated drawings or complicated layouts of materials.
To make the UCS useful with other Locate options (with ORTHO off), you can use " Set UCS Origin " to designate a point you locate as the UCS 0, 0, 0 point and " Rotate UCS " or " Align UCS " to rotate the UCS around that origin point.
UCS tools can be very useful for taking measurements. For example, you can " Set UCS origin " to the 0, 0, 0 point you want the X, Y, Z display to measure from.
