Access Control Block ( Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > )

  • Click here ( ) for documentation on this utility from the SDS2 Detailing help manual.
  • Access control blocks may have been set on your current Job by the SDS2 program that created the Project.
  • If access control blocks have not been set for your current Job : When you Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Access Control Block , either the Access Control window will open or you may get a window like the following.
Pressing the " Change Password " button on this window opens a window that lets you change the password for your current Job only.
  • For more information on when you will get the above window, see the documentation for Home > User and Site Options > Site > " Access control block password ."
  • If access control blocks have been set for a particular Project, the Access Control Station Error dialog will open when you attempt to Home > " Change Active Job " to that Project.
Shown at left is the Access Control Station Error dialog. Pressing the " Permissions " button opens the Access Control Login dialog (shown below).

You will have to enter an appropriate " User " and " Password " in order to open the Access Control window.

  • Presumably whoever sent you the Project sent you the " User " and " Password " that you need in order to open the Access Control window. Once you are on the Access Control window, you can add users that you want to have access to that Project.
