Circle Edit All ( Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Automatically opens a window for multi-editing all circles that are on shown layers in your current drawing.
  • In a drawing that is not a crane placement drawing , Edit All only acts on circles that are on comment layers . In crane placement drawings, Edit All acts on objects on non-comment layers as well as on comment layers.
  • Shown layers are visible layers (layers marked " Show "). Since Circle Edit All works only on visible layers, you can -- prior to activating this tool -- turn off particular layers to exclude circles that are on those layers from being edited.
  • Circle Edit All can help you to ensure that circles are drawn consistently. When the Circle Setup window opens, you can easily identify mixed entries because they are grayed out . If you then, for example, change the " Pen color ," all circles will be assigned that same pen.
  • The selection of objects that is made prior to using Circle Edit All does not affect the operation of the tool, nor does the tool affect the selection. For example, if you have circles selected before you activate the tool, the circles remain selected after Circle Edit All is done.
  • To invoke Circle Edit All and edit all circles that are on shown layers or -- for crane placement drawings -- on shown comment layers:

Method 1 : Click the Circle Edit All icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Circles ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Circles > Edit All .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Circle Edit All can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
