Description: Welded plate box is a built-up material made of plate material welded together.

Other shape file specifications: " Nominal Depth ," " Weight per Unit " (lbs/ft or kg/m), " Structural Properties ."

Additional settings to those in the local shape file are defined on the Rolled Section Material window. These additional settings are read-only in SDS2 Site Planning.

Please note: A welded plate box section must be defined in the local shape file before users of a full-featured SDS2 program can add such a section to your current Job .

Section size naming convention : BOX+nominal_depth+x+nominal_weight/length (pounds/foot U.S.). For example, BOX12x50 . Welded plate box sections can be added to a shape file ( in a full-featured SDS2 program , not in SDS2 Site Planning) using a entirely different naming convention.

Submaterial piece marking :  The default submaterial mark prefix for welded plate box material is wpb .

Steel grades that are available for welded plate box material are set up using the Job Options list of " Plate Grades ."
