Arc Dimension Edit ( Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

• Lets you edit one or multiple arc dimensions that you select. Selection filtering is built in.
• All arc dimensions that you select must be on comment layers in order for you to be able to edit them on the Edit Arc Dimension window. Otherwise, the window will be read-only.
• The preferred way to edit a single arc dimension is to double-click it while ' Default ' is selected as the selection filter. Again, the arc dimension must be on a comment layer in order for it to be editable.
• If you preselect multiple types of objects, Arc Dimension Edit will edit only those objects that are arc dimensions. The other objects will remain selected. Click here for an example. Preselection is done in Select Items mode. Here are the steps:

  1. Draw an area box or hold down the Shift key and left-click ( Select+ ) several objects of the same type or of different types.
  2. Invoke Arc Dimension Edit .
  3. The Edit Arc Dimension window opens. It will be read-only if any arc dimensions in your selection were on non-comment layers.
• In-tool selection takes place when you invoke Arc Dimension Edit with nothing selected or with object types other than arc dimensions selected. The tool brings up Select Item(s) mouse bindings, and the status line prompts you select arc dimensions. Here are the steps:
  
  
  1. Invoke Arc Dimension Edit .
     
     

     Select Item(s) bindings (for in-tool selection)

  2. Select one or more objects. Built-in selection filtering restricts you to selecting arc dimensions. Press the Enter key when you are done selecting the objects.
  3. The Edit Arc Dimension window opens. It will be read-only if any arc dimensions in your selection were on non-comment layers.
• To invoke Arc Dimension Edit :
  

  Method 1 : Click the Arc Dimension Edit icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Arc Dimensions ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

  Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Arc Dimensions > Edit .

  Method 3, 4 or 5 : Arc Dimension Edit can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
