A command diamond is a type of mouse binding reporter that tells you the operations that can be performed using your mouse. In other words, it tells you which mouse button to press. It can be used for a 2-, 3- or 4-button mouse.

In the example above, the command diamond tells you that the command mode is Solids Mode , and that you can perform a Solid Transparent Main or Stick or Solid Opaque operation by pressing the appropriate mouse button.
