Delete Role Configurations

Delete Role Configurations is used to delete a Role Configuration file from the roles folder found in the SDS2 data directory.
Note: These roles are used when the modeling or drawing editor layout style is set to Lightning.

1 . Select Delete Role Configurations in Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Delete.

2 . The roles folder opens inside of Window's File Explorer. Select the role configuration file(s) you wish to delete, and press Delete.

Tip : We recommend that you do not delete the Default file unless you have created your own role configuration files. If you delete the Default file and there are no other role configuration files present, you will receive a warning when attempting to open the Modeling and Drawing Editor. Although the modules will still open, they will not have any ribbons.

Note : If the SDS2 data directory is located on your local PC, the deleted file will be placed in your Recycle Bin. If the SDS2 data directory is located on a different PC/server, the file will not be recoverable when the role configuration is deleted. Do not delete files maintained in the SDS2 folder. That folder, like the various other folders named SDS2 that are maintained in your SDS2 data directory , should serve as a storage place for SDS2 to install back-up files.
