An HSS, pipe or tube horizontal brace with a paddle plate perpendicular to a beam is designed per " Brace Connection To Gusset Hss Paddle " locks. The paddle plate shop bolts or field bolts to the gusset plate depending on the gusset connection to the beam (' Welded ' or ' Clip angle '). The paddle plate to brace connection " Weld length " controls the notch length in the HSS brace. Locks for spacers are available only for double paddle plates. |
