Step-by-step instructions :
1 . In Modeling or the Drawing Editor , invoke Retain View using one of the following methods:
Method 1 : Click the Retain View icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' View ' (Modeling) or ' View ' ( Drawing Editor ) and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If the " Modeling layout style " or " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose View > Retain View .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Retain View can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .
2 . Your current view is retained in memory. The status line informs you how many views have been retained and which of those views you have just retained (e.g. 6/6 = view six of six retained views). Up to 20 views may be saved and recalled in Modeling .
Tip: To view a retained view (such as the one you just saved), use Previous Retained View or Next Retained View .
