Undo View Change

Default shortcut: u
Undoes your most recent navigational change made to a view in Modeling or to a drawing in Drawing Editor.

1 . Click the Undo View Change icon, which is pictured above. In Modeling, the icon can be found on the Layout page > Navigate section. In Drawing Editor, the icon can be found on the Drafting page > Navigate section.

Alternative: Invoke Undo View Change using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the icon, which is pictured above.

2 . Undo View Change undoes the most recent navigational change made to your current 3D view or 2D drawing.

  • After you have undone all view changes, Undo View Change circles back to the original view you started with.
  • This tool is disabled when there is no view in the view buffer.
  • The name of your current view remains the same after each Undo.
  • If you want Modeling or the Drawing Editor to forget the navigational changes made to your view, use Clear View Buffer. You might want to do this, for instance, each time you open a new erection view. That way Modeling or the Drawing Editor only remembers the view transformations made within that erection view or drawing.
  • The buffer of view changes is lost when you exit Modeling. It is lost in the Drawing Editor when you Open a new drawing.
