Retain View ( Modeling & Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Temporarily stores -- as a retained view -- how your current view is currently displayed.
  • Previous Retained View and Next Retained View can be used access the retained view that you have saved using Retain View . This means you can quickly get the view you want without having to go through a procedure such as accessing a particular erection view then performing zoom operations, centering the display, adjusting depth checking, etc. All this information is "remembered" in the retained view.
  • Up to 20 views may be saved and recalled in Modeling .
  • Every retained view added after 20 is given the number twenty (20/20), the oldest retained view (1/20) is erased, and the nineteen other retained views are renumbered by incrementing down one numeral (2/20 becomes 1/20, 3/20 becomes 2/20, etc.).
  • When you retain a view, the program stores with that view its physical dimensions as well as information such as depth checking . For instance, if you save a zoomed-in view of a particular connection you are working on, you return to being zoomed into that same connection when you recall that retained view.
  • You may use any of Modeling 's functions that are available in a normal erection view to alter the 3D model from a retained view.
  • When you exit Modeling or open a new drawing in the Drawing Editor , retained views are forgotten.
