An angle, W tee or channel vertical brace bolts directly to its gusset plate per choices made to " Brace Connection To Gusset ." The corner of the gusset plate (" Gusset Beam Column Square ") is square under the brace because " Clip end operation " is set to ' No ' or, possibly, to ' Automatic '. The gusset can shop weld to the beam (" Weld Conn2 "), or can shop bolt with a clip angle (" NS/FS Clip Conn2 ") if the beam-to-column connection is clip angle. The gusset field bolts to the column with a clip angle or shear plate or end plate .
