Copy Fabricator Settings
The Copy Fabricator Settings utility can be used to overwrite the settings in your current Fabricator with settings that are stored in another Fabricator found in your current Job, a different Job, or in the fabs folder maintained in the SDS2 data directory.

1. Select Copy Fabricator Settings in Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Copy.
2. On the screen that opens, click the Job or External Fab button ( ), then press the browse button ( ) to specify the Source Fabricator you want to copy settings from.
The current Fabricator that is selected in your current Job is automatically selected as the Destination Fabricator. |
Alternative 1:
- Select the Job button if you want to select a Fabricator from a Job, then press the browse button ( ).
- The Select Job window opens with a list of all Jobs in the Job repository where your current Job is stored. You may select a different Job repository if one has been set up. Select one Job.
- The Select Fabricator window opens with a listing of all Fabricators stored in that Job. Select one Fabricator.
- The Fabricator you selected is now the Source Fabricator.
- Press the OK button to copy the fabricator settings from the Source Fabricator to the Destination Fabricator.
Alternative 2:
- Select the External Fab button if you want to select a legacy external Fabricator (pre-v2015.xx) from the fabs folder maintained in the data directory used by your current version of this program. Then press the browse button ( ).
- The Select Fabricator opens with a list of all Fabricators in the fabs folder. Select one Fabricator.
- The Fabricator you selected is now the Source Fabricator.
- Press the OK button to copy the fabricator settings from the Source Fabricator to the Destination Fabricator.
Alternative 3: Press the Cancel button to end the operation and keep your current Fabricator unaltered.
Double-checking: A Fabricator Settings Report can help you confirm that the Copy Fabricator Settings operation successfully copied the settings to your current Fabricator.
