Step-by-step instructions :
1 . Invoke Relative Depth using any one (1) of the following methods:
Method 1 : Click the Relative Depth icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' View ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose View > Relative Depth .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Relative Depth can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface . The default keyboard shortcut for Relative Depth is r d .
2 . The Change View Depth dialog opens. The relative depth reported in parentheses (currently...) is the distance your current view is from the 3D model's global coordinate point 0,0,0. In the example below, the current depth is -20-0.

Change view depth by: A positive or negative (-) distance in the primary dimension " Units " or other units . A negative distance moves the view into the screen.. A positive distance moves the view out from the screen.

Alternative 1 : Press the " OK " button at the bottom of the dialog box to close the dialog box and move your current view into or out of the screen as you have specified. Go to step 3.
Alternative 2 : Press the " Cancel " button to close the dialog box and end the Relative Depth operation without relocating your current view. Do not continue.
3 . Your current view's relative depth is relocated the distance you entered in step 2.
Note: At this point you have not actually created a new view; you have simply relocated your current view. To make your current view look the way that it did when your first opened it, simply Open ( Ctrl + o ) it again.
