Hatch Erase All ( Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Automatically deletes all hatches or fills that are on shown layers in your current drawing.
  • In a drawing that is not a crane placement drawing , you can erase hatches or fills only from comment layers . In crane placement drawings, you can erase objects on non-comment layers as well as on comment layers.
  • For hatches added using Hatch Add Define Polygon , deleting the hatch also deletes the polygon sides that make up the defined polygon that borders the hatch or fill.
  • Shown layers are visible layers (layers marked " Show "). Since Hatch Erase All only works on visible layers, you can -- prior to activating this tool -- turn off particular layers to exclude hatches or fills that are on those layers from being deleted.
  • The selection of objects that is made prior to using Hatch Erase All does not affect the operation of the tool, but the tool does affect the selection. All selected items are automatically deselected as a result of Hatch Erase All .
  • To invoke Hatch Erase All and delete all hatches or fills that are on shown layers or -- for crane placement drawings -- on shown comment layers:

Method 1 : Click the Hatch Erase All icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Hatch ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Hatchs > Erase All .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Hatch Erase All can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
