Load Model Dimensions ( Modeling )

Tool summary :

  • Adds dimensions that have been stored in a file to your 3D model.
  • The dimensions are independent of your current view and are added to your entire project.
  • Only you, the user that loads the dimensions, will see them. Other users in the same project will not see them.

   Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Invoke Load Model Dimensions (in Modeling ):

Method 1 : Click the Load Model Dimensions icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Model ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Model > Dimensions > Load .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Load Model Dimensions can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

2 . A File Explorer window opens. Browse to a location wherein a file in which dimensions have been stored is located. Double-click that file.

3 . The dimensions are added to your model.

Note: If your current Job is not the Job that the dimensions were created from, they probably won't be relevant when they are loaded into your current Job.The ' Model Dimensions ' selection filter together with Delete can be used to delete dimensions.
