The "Configuration Setup" button ( )

  opens the CNC Setup window

Documentation :

Help on the CNC Setup window and most other CNC-related tools found in SDS2 Fabricating is from the SDS2 Detailng manual. Help on other tools in SDS2 Fabricating is from the SDS2 Model Review manual.

Before pressing the "Setup" button :

CNC
Wide flange
 Machine_1a
Channel
 Machine_1a
Angle
 ** NOT SET **
Plate
 ** NOT SET **

Pipe
 ** NOT SET **

HSS/TS
 ** NOT SET **

One CNC configuration must be selected (entered and checked ) at SDS2 Fabricating Home . In the above example, the same configuraration (Machine_1a) is entered in two different places and checked in both those places, which is effectively the same as having a single configuration selected.

If more than one configuration is selected, the " Setup " button is disabled (grayed-out).

If no configuration is selected, the " Setup " button is disabled (grayed-out). No configuration is selected, for example, when all items are not checked ( ), or when ' ** NOT SET ** ' is the entry for the one or more items that are checked ( ).

About the CNC Setup window :

The CNC Setup window provides general instructions that configure the information which is output to a CNC download file . It also lets you control how the CNC download files are named and batched, etc.

For CNC-type-specific configuration options , the " Options " button on the CNC Setup window opens, for example, the DSTV Options window if the " CNC type " which is associated with your current " CNC configuration " is ' DSTV .' If your current configuratation is for a different " CNC type ," the " Options " button would open a different window. For the ' CNC type ' called ' DXF Plate ,' it would open the DXF Tool Definitions window.
