" NS Clip " & " FS Clip " connection design locks

" NS Clip " and " FS Clip " locks "vary according to Connection specifications " that control whether the clip angle(s) bolt or weld to the supported or supporting member. If the clip angle is ' Welded ' to the supported or supporting, a " Weld size " (supported) or " Weld size " (supporting) lock is available. Bolt locks for the leg to supported appear if the clip angle bolts to the supported beam. Bolt locks for the leg to supporting appear if the clip angle bolts to the supporting member (beam or column).

Availability : If, in " Connection specifications " on the Beam Review window, the clip angle is specified to be bolted to supported / welded to supporting , you will not get connection design locks for bolting the leg of the clip angle to the supported beam. To get such connection design locks, the clip angle needs to be ' Bolted ' to either or both the supported or supporting member. The supported member is the beam on which the clip angle is applied. The supporting member can be a beam or a column.
