" Column Flange Stiffener " connection design locks
Column stiffeners opposite to a beam moment connection are designed per " Column Flange Stiffener " locks when a wide flange or welded plate wide flange beam with a moment connection frames to the flange of a column. If " Design for stiffeners " is selected for the moment connection, flange stiffeners are designed on an as-needed basis. Null values (e.g., distances of ' 0 ') are entered if no stiffeners have been designed. These locks control the flange stiffeners on both sides (NS and FS) of the column web. |
