VIDEO A member end ( ) may need to be selected during a handrail operation such as Continue Flat HandRail . This video shows how to turn on " Member ends always displayed " in Display Options . You can select member ends even when they are not displayed, but you may find it easier to select them when they are always displayed. (Recorded in SDS2 Detailing , v2018.)

VIDEO This example of Continue Flat HandRail begins with selecting the spliced member end that the new handrail is to start from and to be spliced to. Points are located counterclockwise from that spliced end. The last segment of handrail terminates with a P-end instead of splicing to another handrail. (Recorded in SDS2 Detailing , v2018.)

VIDEO Before using Continue Flat HandRail , the P-end of an existing handrail is changed to a spliced end. Continue Flat HandRail is then used to add handrail from that spliced end to the spliced end of another previously added handrail. (Recorded in SDS2 Detailing , v2018.)

VIDEOContinue Flat HandRail is used to add a new handrail between two spliced member ends . The tool reads information such as the "offset" from the previously added handrail that the newly added handrail splices to. (Recorded in SDS2 Detailing , v2018.)
