Rename External Fabricator ( Utility Functions )

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Start the Rename External Fabricator utility:

1a : Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Rename > Rename External Fabricator . If prompted to do so, enter the " Utility Password " that has been set up for your network.

2 . The Rename External Fabricator window opens.

Original fabricator name: The file name of the to-be-renamed external Fabricator . Tip : Press the " file " browse button ( ) to open a selection dialog with a list of all external Fabricators . Double-click to select any Fabricator that is listed.

New fabricator name: The file name (up to 64 characters) that you want to replace the " Original fabricator name " entered above. Fabricator file names can be made up of letters and/or numbers with "_" or "." used as optional separators. The new Fabricator must be the only Fabricator file with that name.

Alternative 1 : Press " OK " to continue. Go to step 3.

Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end the Rename External Fabricator operation without renaming the Fabricator.

3 . One of the following happens:

Possibility 1 : The Fabricator is renamed as you specified, and you get a message saying that the Fabricator has been " successfully renamed ." Press the " OK " button.

Possibility 2 : The Fabricator is not renamed because another Fabricator with the same name as the " New fabricator name " already exists. You get a message saying, " New Fabricator name must be an unique name ." Press the " OK " button and go back to step 2.
