Turns auto pinning on or off for new members that are subsequently added.

1 . Click the Pin New Member Ends icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be found on the toolbar located at the bottom of the Modeling window.

2 . When the icon is checked ( ), the ends of the new members you add have member pins automatically set based on framing situation, view plane, and member type.

Alternative: When the icon is not checked ( ), Disable member pins on this end is checked ( ) for the ends of the new members you add.

Pin New Member Ends can be used in Modeling to override Home > Project Settings > Job > Modeling > Member Pins > Default members to disabled restraints.
When you close a Modeling session, Pin New Member Ends is reset to how Default members to disabled restraints is set.
The color of the member end changes according to Member Pins setup. Different colors are set for System pins, User pins, and Disabled pins.
