The CMU Templates window ( Job Settings )

  • A concrete masonry unit (CMU) is a concrete block used in building construction. The CMU Templates window provides a list of templates for adding CMU walls and courses to the model.
  • Each template has an unique name and consists of profiles in X-Y, X-Z and Y-Z planes.
  • The provided default set of templates include many standard blocks that are commonly used in the industry.

Adding / Editing / Erasing / Reviewing CMU templates :

saves a copy of the template that you have selected. On the Save As window that opens, type in the " Name " that you want give the new template then press " OK ."

The new template that " Save As " creates will be listed on the CMU Templates window (this window). You can modify the new template by selecting it and pressing " Edit " or by double-clicking its name.

opens the Add CMU Template window, on which you must type in the " Name " of the new template you want to add. After you press " OK " to close that window, the CMU Template Editor opens, giving you the ability to more precisely define how the CMU template will be modeled.

opens the CMU Template Editor , which can be used to assign information to the template that you have selected. An alternative way to open the CMU Template Editor window is to double-click a template on the list.

deletes the template that you have selected. This prevents that template from being used in the model.

"OK" (or the Enter key or the Esc key or the button) closes the CMU Templates window. All information reported on this window will have automatically been saved prior to your pressing " OK ." Pressing " OK " simply closes the window, nothing more.

To open CMU Templates :

Method 1 : Home > Project Settings > Job > Concrete > CMU Templates .

To close CMU Templates :

"OK" (or the Enter key or the Esc key or the button) closes the CMU Templates window. All information reported on this window will have automatically been saved prior to your pressing " OK ." Pressing " OK " simply closes the window, nothing more.
