The Riser Closure Plate custom component

VIDEO In a full-featured SDS2 program, the Add Component icon is pressed and ' Riser Closure Plate ' is selected as the component to add. A stair is selected to add the component to, and the Riser Closure Plate Edit window opens. Settings are adjusted on the window, and the plates are regenerated several times. Finally, the closure plates are changed to toe plates. (Recorded in SDS2 Detailing , v2017.)

• The following image shows the inside of the far-side stringer of a stair with grating treads. The risers were added using the Riser Closure Plate custom component.

• Supported tread types: Bolted Grating and Rolled Channel and C-shaped plate (toes down) are the three supported tread types that permit riser closure plates to be generated in the model. If the stair has an un supported tread type, a note is shown in place of Riser Closure Plates custom component settings on the Stair Review window, but no closure plates or toe plates are actually be generated in the model. These supported tread types may have been entered to the " Intermediate tread schedule " and/or " Top tread schedule " and/or " Bottom tread schedule " on the Stair Review window.
